Access Health Sponsors Journeyman Basketball for 2012

Recently Journeyman Basketball's former JPA President, Robbie Hanson met with the good people of Access Sports Medicine to discuss possible sponsorship for uniform replacement for 2012. Access is very proud of the work that Journeyman Basketball has done for their local community and appreciates the message Journeyman projects. Journeyman Basketball is honored to announce that Access will take financial responsibility for half of all new uniforms purchased in 2012! JP Sanborn (president of Journeyman) and Jeff Murray (GM) along with Journeyman Alumni Jake Lampert are in the negotiation process with two other possible supporters to finalize the purchase.
Journeyman hopes to replace all uniforms for all divisions by March of 2012.
To become a sponsor or provide possible additional support of the program please contact Jeff Murray by sending an e-mail to gm@journeymanbasketball.com.

Hampton Beach Clean Up!

Journeyman Basketball and their new Community Service Coordinator Corey Guen is at it again! This time they will be cleaning up another location in their community. Corey has arranged with Heather Lewis at the Blue Ocean Society that local Journeyman conduct a 2 hour beach clean up on Saturday July 23rd . No Journeyman will be paid for their services on this day. Like many projects in Journeyman Basketball's past the "clean up" will be conducted by the athletes and their families to send a message that the organization cares. The amount of time that this organization puts in to projects like these is simply amazing. Team1stsports supports the efforts of organizations like Journeyman Basketball and appreciates their efforts. To Join Journeyman in this event e-mail info@journeymanbasketball.com. More information is also posted on the home page of their site.

Summer Alumni League

Journeyman Basketball will be introducing a new program on a trial basis. It is the Journeyman Alumni League to take place during this Summer. In the past if a player was 17.5 years old he or she could only participate in Alumni events once a year. Starting June 2011 they will try an 8 game per team Summer program that will allow former Journeyman to lace up those high-tops again and continue to support the program they helped build. More information will be posted at www.journeymanbasketball.com as it becomes available.

Team1stSport will start using a new logo as of April 1 2011.

J-Hawks gets Rebuilt

That's right. I hear the J-Hawks (girls version of Journeyman) got started last week. Nice to see a program like this succeed. The program also just announced a new JPA President, Alex Price. The last president, Part Ford, disseminated nearly $6000 to local charities during his term. At Team1Sports we wish Alex Price the best.

Community Care

Above, K. Shaw and A. Price represent the Journeyman Player's Association as they work at Seacoast Family Promise in Stratham NH. The Player's Association and Staff of Journeyman Basketball volunteered their time and resources for the benefit of SFP. The Seacoast Family Promise mission is to empower families experiencing homelessness to regain independence by working in partnership with local congregations and community resources. Journeyman Basketball again shows outstanding community support.

Special Achievement

Journeyman Basketball recognizes two very special contributors to their program with new Winter jackets and a small bonus. Team1st is proud to have Journeyman Basketball as a member and it's nice to see them recognize their volunteers and staff.
